Traditional Japanese Hairstyling with Kimono Rental and Leisure Walk Plan

You can get your hair styled in traditional Japanese fashion (real hairdo, not a wig), get dressed in a beautiful kimono and go sightseeing around Chofu city.

 

Come at 9:00 a.m. or 10:00 a.m. latest (appointment necessary), get your hair styled and rent a kimono for a walk around Jindaiji Temple or Chofu City, and return by 6:00 p.m.

●We can accept up to two people at the same time.

●This is authentic, traditional Japanese hairstyling and tying from ancient times, using bintsuke oil and motoyui.

●Since we use very rare and expensive Japanese hair pieces and ornaments as part of the rental, we require payment by credit card.

●Please, return by 6:00 pm after your outing. It takes about 1 hour to untie Japanese hair and shampoo/dry it.

Japanese Hair Leisure Walk Plan – FAQ Option Menu

1. Is there an option to have a professional photo shoot of mine in the studio wearing a kimono with my Japanese hair tied up?

   We can provide a professional photo shoot service with several backgrounds, props, and poses, of you wearing a kimono and traditional Japanese hairstyle, for an additional 16,500 JPY (total, 49,500 JPY before tax), upon request. The photo shoot includes 5 data files of your favorite takes, in B5 size format (176 x 250 mm or 6.9 x 9.8 inches).

2. Can I rent other traditional garments besides the komon and yukata listed here?

   Houmongi (visiting kimono) or tomesode and furisode (the most formal garments traditionally worn by married and unmarried Japanese women respectively) can be rented for an additional charge starting at 5,500 JPY and up. For more information, please contact us at mail

3. Can I bring my own kimono or costume?

   Absolutely! The fees will be the same and there is no additional charge if you wish to use your own costume or accessories.
